I'm planning on applying to Florida State University and majoring in English. I am worried about my GPA though. I went to school fresman year in New Jersey, sophomore and junior year in New York (Where I got mastery marks on 6 of the state tests) and senior year in Florida. Will attending three different high schools benefit me? My freshman year GPA was pretty horrible. I got mostly C's, couple of B's, a D, and an F in Algebra (which I earned an A in at summer school) I took 3 honors classes that year. Sophomore year I did better earning two A's, several B's and a C or two. (Btw sorry I do not have exact GPA's :/) In junior year I went from a standard English class to AP as recommended by my teacher. I Earned an A- in that AP class, two A+'s two A's, two B+'s and 1 C. I am hoping that the steady increase in grades will make up for a pretty unimpressive GPA (which I am not certain of at this point) This year I am taking 3 AP classes and plan to come close to straight A's. I plan on getting a recommendation from my Ap English teacher who has a doctorate (that's gotta help). I scored an 1870 on my SAT's CR:660 Math: 590 Writing: 650. I am half Ecuadorian and have a good number for extracurriculars. Now that I've overloaded you with every shred of info I can imagine, what do you think my chances are of getting into FSU?

also if there are any good colleges you think I have a chance of getting into and should consider applying to I would appreciate that so much.

I don’t know about FSU, but Auburn University might be a good match for you

The best thing you can do is APPLY EARLY to FSU. Your chances decrease if you wait. Go to Preview on campus and make a personal appointment to speak with an Admissions officer with your academic credentials in hand. Go also to visit the English Department and meet the faculty.
