I am currently a seventh grader, class of 2024, and am going to apply to Lawrenceville next year. I took practice upper level ssat, and scored 99th percentile, and my grades at school are A+ in all subjects. Outside of school, I love cooking, and I have appeared on Chopped Jr, have my own website, and my own cookbook. I have also done several cooking related community service projects in poorer areas like Trenton. I am also a National ambassador for online teen safety. I am also an avid public speaker, and am a ranked debator, and have a podcast series about worldly topics. Can someone tell me how good of an application this is, as well as what else I can do? Thank you.
You have the scores and grades to be a viable applicant, and it sounds like you have a nicely curated set of ECs, so you will definitely “make the cut”. The real question is whether you are a good fit. My advice is to cast your net widely, attend interviews with energy and honesty, and see how it all works out. Most schools do a pretty good job of admitting kids who will be happy and succeed in their environment.
Thank you so much!
You need an actual SSAT score as schools do not accept results from practice tests.
I know, just giving an example of how I can score.
