<p>I am a junior in high school, half Hispanic (does that matter?), A's in most of my classes, and by the end of senior year I will have taken 9 AP classes. I have only taken the SAT once and I got a 2190, but I plan to retake it. 230 on the PSAT. I participate in band/jazz band, student government, NHS, and volunteer service. I've played sports over the years but no 4-year commitment.
I plan to major in computer science/engineering. I enjoy it and want to learn as much as possible in college. I have taught myself HTML, JavaScript, and Python in the past.</p>
<p>Basically, I have come to realize that I really admire the philosophy and environment of MIT. But I don't want to pursue something that is undeniably out of reach. Do I have a chance?</p>
