I am supposed to hear back on March 30th. I have a 1730 SAT, my un weighted GPA is somewhere between 3 - 3.25 and weighted it is above 3.5. I have one AP class and one class through the local community college. I have had a job for one and a half years and ran 4 years of track and Cross Country (team captain this year). I was a governor’s page, and attended a two week camp at Oak Ridge National Lab. Me and partners have made it to the state science fair. I have a letter of recommendation from my guidance consular, and I feel like my short answers were good. I have also been accepted to George Mason.

Any ideas?

you have good extra curriculars but your stats are a little low. I would say it’s a reach.

Thank you. Can anyone else help me?

Anybody else?

Does anyone else have an opinion?

Can someone please give me another opinion?

What is your intended major? If you applied to the school of engineering then you really aren’t competitive. Most people transfer in with a 3.5. But if your going for a less competitive major like History you should be fine.

It gave me two options and I put political science and undecided.

I’m transfering soon to CHASS (college of humanaties and social sciences) at nc state also in political science. Your SAT is fine as well as your gpa. They accept people until all the slots fill up. The key is that you get your app. The only real reason they deny someone is they run out of space, or you have a low gpa below 3.0. Your fine but keep us updated

Thanks. I am going to find out on the 30th.

Did you get in?
