My daughter applied to transfer to Ohio State from University of Cincinnati. She had a 3.3 GPA in high school and in her first semester at Cincy, she received a 3.5. She applied in January. In March, she received a letter from OSU saying they were delaying a decision until they received her second-semester grades from Cincinnati. OSU only requires a 2.5 for transfer students, so I’m puzzled why they would delay since her grades are far above that. Has this happened to anyone else? What do you think her chances are of getting in? She is a psychology major and is on track to get at least 3.5 this semester, as well. Thanks!
Meeting the minimum requirement doesn’t mean you’re competitive. How many transfers did Ohio State take last year? Out of how many applications?
