So, I'm a junior in high school right now with a 3.2 GPA, all a-g requirements met so far with extra electives and such. I want to major in hospitality so what are my chances of even getting into any of these? I'm out of all of their service areas except for Northridge so I already know chances are probably slim?

San Francisco State
San Jose State
Cal Poly Pomona
CSU Fullerton (entertainment & tourism)
CSU East Bay
CSU Northridge (the only one in my service area)

3.2 is weighted, I only took 2 honors/AP classes as of right now. If my grades stay up right now, I can get a 3.4. Not sure if that makes a difference… also thanks for the info Catria! will try for those!

Wow, thought they would want something more competitive than a 3.2. Pomona doesn’t surprise me at all… I know it’s really popular. Their hospitality school looks really cool though. thanks for the info!

the csu’s are generally easy to get into…usually most of the csu’s are known as a poor mans uc, and many in state students use csu to transfer to uc’s, but that is becoming harder now…But yea, your safe for all the csu’s, just for pomona, make yourself stand out a and bring the gpa up a bit.

Cool! I thought with the whole “service area” thing, only locals were given priority. It’s reassuring to think I still have a chance at some CSU’s. Thanks davidbenn123!
