Im an out of state student applying to a few cal state schools. I have a 3.48 gpa unweighted and a reading and math score of 780 for my SAT's i know its really low :[ but im re-taking them soon. I have not participated in a lot of Extra curricular activities except for OKOM which is a program at my school where upperclassmen are chosen to be mentors for incoming freshmen. I participated in this activity both my Junior and Senior year. I have also been working a job since my sophmore year, which is the main reason why I have not participated in a lot of things. What are my chances of getting in to a cal state university? Im considering the following CSU's:
(in no particular order)
Sonoma State
San Jose State
Sacramento State
SF State
( I want to stay near the bay area and Northern california)
Im undecided on what major I wish to pursue it's between Nutrition & Dietics and Journalism.

Hey, I’m a high school senior currently living in the bay area. SF State is almost pathetically easy to get into, according to my friend who goes there. (No idea why he goes there either with his 2200 SAT scores…hmmm). But yeah, from his perspective you could get in SF State with 2.8 or 2.9, so that’s should be a given. My school recently told us that aren’t accepting many people at all into San Jose state, I presume it’s because of the budgets. The problem with a lot of CSUs is they like blaming everything on the budget. At least, from I’d hear. Then again, what do I know? I’m looking at the Utah schools, not California. Costs so much to live here.

thank you! oh really? lol I’ve heard it’s actually a bit competitive to get into SF state cause so many kids want to go there, XD
but yeah California IS quite pricey…but then again so is Arizona [which is where i currently reside] well lately it’s becoming more expensive to live here.
