Chances of getting Into Ucb, ucla, ucsd, and uci?

I plan on applying to Ucb ucla ucsd and uci. I jut recently got accepted into ucd through tag! Berkeley and ucla are my first choices tho. Here are my stats:

3.51 gpa
-All per reqs complete by end of spring 2014
-Igetc completed
-Berkeley TAP member
- personally statement is good
-applying as mcb (Ucb) and biochemistry (ucd ucla ucsd uci)

EC's:
-worked 30-35 hours per week since spring 2012
-I tutor Intro and general chem at my college
-I tutor math and English to two 9th graders
-volunteered 200+ hours at my local hospital
-participated in an internship at Stanford during high school. This internship is what got me interested in pursuing biochemistry as a major
-biology club
-phi theta kappa
-taught myself how to fluently speak arabic
- I've been doing muy Thai for 3 years now

Ik my GPA is a bit on the low side, but that's mainly because of working so much. What are my chances of getting into these colleges?

Bummmmmpppppppppp

Bumppppppppp

I’d say you have a great chance at Berkeley because of your ECs, TAP membership, and GPA. For UCLA, it’s a bit of a reach because the average admitted GPA for biochem is 3.82. Still, you have a chance there. I don’t really know about UCSD or UCI, but I’d say you’ll probably get in. Good luck!

Can more ppl chance me please!? :)

I like your stats. You seem like a good candidate and that can make up for the average 3.51 GPA. However, I would strongly advise you do not put the learning Arabic by self-taught in your application. It sounds sooo snobbish; I like the other extracurriculars like the Stanford one a lot. I hope you write about that one in your personal statement.

@ocnative

I’m trilingual tho. Should I include it in ec’s as “trilingual (fluent in Arabic, English, and Spanish)?”

Can anybody else chance me for
UC schools?!! :)

Cal : its hard to predict, but they look at all aspects of the application.
UCLA : Its a number game. higher the GPA, the better chances.
UCSD + UCI : Dont worry about it, just keep up your grades and youll get in.

Cal : 50-70%
LA : 30-50%
SD : 80-99%
UCI : Dont worry about it.

Being trilingual is not an extracurricular activity. Don’t list it there but make sure you list it somewhere.
