Chances of getting into UCI

<p>I was wondering what my chances are of getting into UCI.</p>

<ul>
<li>high school weighted GPA 10th and 11th grade: 3.71 (UC GPA: 3.52)</li>
<li>SAT II's: Math II - 620, U.S. History - 630</li>
<li>I am going to take SAT Reasoning classes this early fall and will take the test in november.</li>
<li>I have organizations such as Key Club (100+ hours), Academic Decathlon (Secretary), CSF, Friday Night Live, Martial Arts, and Vietnamese Club in my arsenal for extracurricular activities. </li>
</ul>

<p>Sophomore Schedule:
Vietnamese 2P
AP World History
PE
Chemistry H
Alg.2/Trig H
English 2H</p>

<p>Junior Schedule:
Precalculus H
Vietnamese 3P
Computer Graphics
AP Physics B
AP U.S. History
AP Lang/Comp</p>

<ul>
<li>My anticipated senior schedule: AP Calculus AB, AP Psychology, AP Civics/Economics, English 4 Honors, Anatomy & Physiology</li>
</ul>

<p>Can you tell me if I will be able to make it to UCI?</p>

<p>Their average UC GPA is 3.9 and average SAT about 1870. These numbers probably went up for the class of '13 and will continue to go up given less space due to the budget crisis.</p>

<p>Sorry! I am not from California, but I do have a friend attending UCI. In any case, I strongly suggest that you raise your SATIIs to 700+.</p>

<p>Right. The UCs are definitely competitive, although I don’t know much about UCI in particular. </p>

<p>Just to be on the safe side, I would aim for a 700+ on your SAT IIs too, and definitely, we need those standardized tests!!!</p>

<p>Oh okay, thanks for the tip. I’ll try to raise the subjects this coming October. I don’t have the reasoning score b/c I will be taking that test in November.</p>

<p>your extra curriculars are great and you have strength in schedule. I would shoot for the stars on the SAT and you should have a pretty great chance! </p>
