Chances of getting into UCLA and UCB

Overall GPA: 3.76 (political science major)

IGETC: completed

Extracurricular Activities: 4 years of hs basketball and volleyball, altar server for 2 years

Achievements: student-athlete award, all-league sports player

Job/Work experience: Grassroots Campaign canvasser for 1 summer

Volunteer Work: Basketball head coach, Tutor

Personal Statement: 7-8/10

Applied to: UCI, UCSB, UCLA, UCB

Only big flaw I have is that I got an F in a Political Science class that exceeded the requirements on assist.org requirements for the major, but re-took the same class this semsester and got an A. Also, I got a 4.0 this fall of 2013. Does that help my cause?

Hmm, do you have all the pre-reqs completed for the major? If so, I’d say you have a 70~75% chance of getting in at UCLA. Probably about the same or a little less for Berkeley. It helps that you have relevant EC experience in the form of canvassing.

yeah i have more than whats required for the prereqs.

In that case, your chances seem pretty good. Good luck!
