Chances of getting into UF

<p>hi! I'm a senior right now and I'm getting ready to apply for early decision to UF. I'm applying for the Summer B term instead of the fall term in hopes that it'll make it easier for me to get accepted
GPA (weighted): 3.77
Class rank: in the top 15%
Asian
ok extra-curriculars (i'm co-founder of asian american club, if that helps?)
re-taking SATs in Oct to hopefully get at least 1270 -1300</p>

<p>i'm in the IB program, and my older brother is attending UF right now as a sophomore.</p>

<p>my transcript looks pretty good until you look at my junior year. the reason i'm worried i might not get in is bc i have an F on my transcript for AP chem for both semesters...=/ (yeah, junior year wasn't the best year for me) but for my senior year i'm taking a full load of academic classes, and so far, i'm maintaining pretty good grades</p>

<p>can anyone give me an honest opinion???</p>

<p>No matter what college looks at that F they will cringe...so Im not sure of your chances..maybe u shouldve retaken it or maybe can u still this year?</p>

<p>yeah, i wanted to re-take it the summer after junior year but unfortunately my guidance counselor said they didnt offer anything like that.. =/</p>

<p>Your stats are fine. I'm at UF right now, first semester freshman, and I had just about the same qualifications. Hell, I had a 3.1 GPA, top 10%, 1310 SAT, and I didn't sweat it. Then again, maybe they let me in on my skill with the essays, but you're pretty much gauranteed in with what you have.</p>

<p>Oh, by the way, I had one F in AP English Lit senior year, and that didn't detract (passed the exam, so w/e)</p>
