Chances of getting into USAFA?

<p>I am a junior and it is my dream to go to the Air Force Academy. I have a 3.95 GPA unweighted and I’m in IB. I got a 2040 on the SAT. I got 760 math, 610 Verbal, and 670 Writing. I’ve played high school soccer for 3 years(will be 4 next year) and club soccer for 6 years. I also did track for two years and was the jv captain. I have over 200 hours of community service for a small nonprofit cancer relief organization and was a also a camp counselor over the summer. I’m also in NHS and in the top 5% of my class out of 617 students</p>

<p>I was also wondering if my vision of 20/300 correctable to 20/20 would disqualify me completely from becoming a pilot.</p>

<p>I’d say your chances are fairly good, based on the numbers you’ve given. You have a decent shot at a vision waiver. My vision is roughly similar to yours, and I received a waiver…no guarantees though!</p>
