Chances of getting rescinded?

I currently am suffering from a severe case of senioritis. Last semester i had 4 A's 1 B (In AP Statistics) and 1 C (in AP Art History). This semester i think i have B's in everything and a C in AP Stats, is there a chance that i will get rescinded? Should i ask the admissions office just in case?

Bs and Cs are fine. just don’t fail multiple classes and you’re good.

My friend said that getting below is 3.0 is bad, is this true? Willing having a C put me at any risk of getting rescinded?

with hundreds of students in the entering class, i doubt they’re going to check every single person’s GPAs. they would probably notice if you failed a class you needed to graduate or something. i’ve never heard the 3.0 thing, but you can call and ask the admissions office if you want to be absolutely sure.

thnx for ur fast replies, ill call when i get my report card for this semester just to check. 5 more weeks of school!

I’m actually a bit worried because I’m not doing so great in one of my college classes. They don’t technically count towards my GPA and only serve as graduation requriements but NYU will still see what I got when I send in my final transcript. All my grades in my high school classes are great though. Would getting like a C or (technically by the Wilkes U grading system a 2.5-2.0) affect my standing?

Acceptance rescindence (?) is rare whereas people getting lower grades post-acceptance is relatively common. You’d need to screw up pretty badly at this point.

Sfang I would not worry nor would call to bring attention to yourself. B and C are not going to affect your status.
You really have to have major screw ups to get rescinded.

come on, only if you cannot graduate and EXTREMELY low in overall grades or did bad for an important class, nyu will rescind you. i fail Gym ANYWAY and nyu didn’t care. gym is not averaged in my final overall average in my high school.

you’re fine, don’t worry. there is no stipulation that says you are accepted UNLESS you get a c…the only thing that would cause a red flag is not graduating or failing a required class or something.

i think i am very screwed…
i have a C in AP English, C in AP Calculus and a freaking C+(78.96!) in AP Econ
a B in IR and Spanish, and an A in Journalism…
SHOULD I BE WORRIED AND SHOULD I SEND IN A LETTER EXPLAINING MY SITUATION?!!!

Don’t worry about it. NYU won’t rescind your acceptance without giving you a chance to explain yourself, anyway, but seriously, I doubt they’re going to care.
