Worried about being rescinded...

So, I got into the NYU class of 2018, but I also just received my third quarter report card, and it's not too pretty.

I got a C- in one class (AP Stats), and a D+ in Math. It's not even honors math or calculus, it's freaking pre-cal and I've slacked off. I'm not that worried about the C-, since I got that last quarter as well, but I've never gotten below C- before, and now I'm worried I'm going to get a nasty letter about how I'm not going to get accepted any more. What are the chances of this happening? I got a C last quarter in Math, so it's dropped down to a D+ now. And there's still a quarter left before they get my scores, so if I boost up my grades, will that help my chances.

Many thanks in advanced from a worried senior.

Obviously, at this point, the only thing you can do is work very hard. I’m sure NYU wouldn’t like to see a D+ in you report card. Get it to a C+, or depending on your first semester grades, a B. I don’t know how often they rescind their admissions. Good luck.
