Chances of getting the AES scholarship at UTD?

I’m junior about to become a senior and I was wondering about my chances of getting the AES Scholarship at UTD?

All my classes are Honors, AP, or Dual Credit, and I have A’s across the board.
I also have several extra curriculars, including Student Council, NHS, Basketball, Yearbook, etc.
My GPA is ~4.3, and I’m in the top 10% of the class, 3rd out of 28.
But my SAT composite score is only a 1330, and I have yet to take the ACT. I’m registered for June, but I’m not really sure how I’ll do on it.
I have 400+ volunteer hours as well.

Do I have a chance of getting Distinguished or even Achievement AES?? I’m trying to raise my SAT score, but with my current qualifications do I have a chance? For all those who got it, what were your scores?

There is a problem with comparing prior SAT scores with spring SAT scores because of the change in the test. Everything I have read says the spring’s scores would be higher than prior years but I don’t know that for sure. Keep trying to raise your SAT score and do try the ACT. Do your best, apply and see what happens.

1330 is probably at the low end, unless you score significantly higher in the reading than the writing. UTD really only care about GPA/ranking and SAT/ACT. Everything else is minimal as they can’t quantify to raise the profile of the school. Since they don’t care how many times you take it, you still have 4 more chances to take it. The latest I’ve seen, for AES purposes, is the January/February test of a student’s senior year in HS.
