Chances of MSU Transfer?

Hi, Im a Sophomore currently enrolled in a community college in Michigan, I have 32 credits currently and will have 47 by the end of the Fall semester. my current GPA is a dismal 3.19, but will be improving majorly this semester. Im involved in the student government and multiple clubs at my college, I volunteer 5-6 hours a week, and I work a part time job.

I had a 25 on my ACT, but I don’t believe that will be taken in to consideration as I have more than 28 credits.

Any Advice, or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Additional Background, I want to major in either, SRP or PTCD at James Madison College at Michigan State. I have experience organizing and running political campaigns, should I include that in my personal statement? Thanks

Depending on what major you’re applying for, your chances automatically vary. But I applied as No-Preference and got in with a 2.98, seriously don’t even stress transfer admissions. This goes without saying I fought really hard for my admission and had to jump through some hoops with my admissions counselor and write an appeal letter, but really in all technicality it was because I was below that 3.0 mark that they want. I would recommend applying to a major that you won’t actually go into, and then change it at orientation, ez pz. Actually wish I wouldn’t have stressed it so much. You are an absolute shoe-in as a transfer. They have frat guys that go here that are straddling on a 2.0 gpa, you’ll be a good replacement for them when they drop out

Thank You!
