Chances of my acceptance?

I see a million of these, so why not. All opinions given will be taken with a grain of salt of course. I applied to a few other schools (OSU, LSU, Texas Tech, UT-Arlington) where I got in and was given generous amounts of financial aid but I really really want to end up at UT. If I don't get accepted will I at least be offered CAP?

And not to sound cocky but I wrote awesome essays (writing is a forte), even all the optional ones on the apply texas app

Pretty solid to me. Nice SAT and it’s good you take some AP classes. Though your unweighted GPA may be slightly, slightly low.(Based off collegedata.com average gpa in ut austin is 3.5) And your class rank in general top 20% is great. Problem is Its t he difficult top 10% percent rule for auto admission, or 7 now I think? Oh and outstanding EC’s. For that I think it will for your slightly low uw gpa.

Overall, if I were an admission officer I would accept you, your life story is interesting, and you seem to work hard.

I wish you the best, and hope you get in.

Daminus

It has been mentioned here many times that UT doesn’t even consider GPA during holistic review.
