I was hoping someone would have insight on the chances of successfully transferring from a 4 year university to a UC. I know out of state applicants have last priority, especially if they are already in a university, however I do believe that UCs would acknowledge a student who has done well and has good reasons for wanting to transfer.
I'll definitely be applying to UCSD and UCSB this fall (perhaps UCLA, USC, and Berkeley) as a global studies/international relations major, but I am curious as to my chances for acceptance. If I am able to keep my 4.0 and complete the requirements for transferring (as in all the units/classes necessary) as well as provide a good personal statement and extracurricular list (I'm interning abroad this summer, president of a club, and will be joining a community service fraternity), will I have a shot at transferring for the fall of 2013?
Sorry this was lengthy, but I'm extremely anxious!
