Chances of Penn, JHU, GWU?

<p>Hello, thank you for taking the time to look at my thread. Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated.
I am currently a rising senior from Eastern Pennsylvania, and am in the process of completing my college applications. I am interested in working for government intelligence, so I have decided to search for universities that are reputable and have International Relations and Economics as possible majors (well, pretty much every university offers Econ but still...). In terms of schools I know that I will be applying to, I have: </p>

<p>University of Pennsylvania
Dartmouth College
Johns Hopkins University
The George Washington University
American University
Lehigh University
Kings College London (still attempting to convince parents, but now KCL is on the Common App and I have relatives living in London)
Penn State University (either Honors College or standard, just in case)</p>

<p>Here are my following credentials:</p>

<p>GPA: 3.98 Unweighted, 4.10 Weighted
All Honors or AP Classes (very little flexibility due to small school size) </p>

<p>SAT Writing: 780
SAT Math: 780
SAT Reading: 640 (Yes, this is really low, but I don't feel like taking it one more time)
SAT II US History: 750
SAT II Chemistry: 750
ACT Composite w/Writing: 34
I will probably take another SAT II, but have yet to decide which one...</p>

<p>AP Exams (my high school is very small, with roughly 100 students per grade, and many APs are unavailable due to scheduling because of the small size)
AP US History: 5
AP European History: 5
AP Chemistry: 4
AP Statistics: 4</p>

<p>School Activities: </p>

<p>Peer Leadership (highly selective group of students, aimed to provide guidance to incoming and current freshmen, as well as assistance to the Guidance Department)
President of Debate Team, participator for 2 years
Varsity Tennis Player (1st Doubles if that is relevant), played since freshman year
As part of a school assignment, I was able to work with the Office of the Inspector General in conjunction with the FBI. Details beyond this are classified, sorry :(</p>

<p>Other Extracurricular Activities:
2 Years of Work Experience at local ice cream store (Rita's, if you've heard of it). I was eventually made manager of the store, however, the store is currently closed due to low revenue. Very well liked by employer, have letter of recommendation.
2+ years of church service: Lectoring at Mass, Soup Kitchen, Aid for Friends meal preparation, etc.
Recreational USTA Tennis, play year round
I was selected to be a part of a National Student Leadership Conference @ American University, with a focus in Intelligence and National Security. Lasted one week, and was loads of fun and very informative! </p>

<p>So, if you have any advice or information that might help me accurately judge my chances of being accepted to any of these schools, it would be much appreciated. In addition, for those who may have noticed that I am interested in IR and have not included Georgetown on my list of schools, I have visited the school and didn't feel that it would be a fit for me. Just in case anybody was wondering. </p>

<p>Thank you very much!</p>

<p>UPenn: Reach
JHU: High match
Dartmouth: Reach
KCL: Safety (the lowest admitted has 28 on the ACT with 600s on the SAT2s)
GWU: Low match/Match
American: Safety
Lehigh: Low match/Match
Penn State standard: Safety
Penn State Schreyer: Low match/Match</p>

<p>Thank you very much for your reply. When you say “low match”, does this mean I am more likely to be accepted versus a “high match” or is it the other way around? Sorry if this seems like a silly question, but I was just wondering.</p>

<p>Low match is closer to safety but not quite, high match is closer to reach, but still not quite.</p>

<p>You should be fine for the honors college at PSU, by the way.</p>

<p>Thank you very much!</p>

<p>What’s your problem with Tufts in IR?</p>
