chances of successful appeal?

Hey there,

I am a recently admitted frosh, but I had my application rejected for 1] failing to pass my maths Cambridge A-Levels course [a course that is considered a college level class by most universities], and 2] because my school failed to send in my official A-Level scores on time.

As for item 2, I yelled at my school, and there's nothing I can say about that, but item 1 has me worried. I am a US citizen studying abroad, and I did take my SAT and ACT, where I got way above average for UCSC students. I also did pretty well in the UCSC math placement exam, and I have pointed this out to the appeal board.

My question is: does anyone have any idea how hard it is to get a rejection overturned at UCSC? They are the only university that accepted me, and I really don't want to spend another gap year, as it were, considering I'm already 19, going on 20.

Thanks for the time!
