Hello all. This "Chance Me" post might be of stronger interest to those thinking about film school, but maybe also to transfers and LAC aficionados as well.

I'm currently a sophomore undergrad at a 4-year state school in the northeastern United States studying Computer Science and English. I've always had an interest in filmmaking, but in the past few years I've done enough research to know that it would be unwise to walk away from college with just a degree in Film Production. The solution I've arrived at is to double-major in something that is both marketable and relatively interesting to me (I've chosen Computer Science because I've always felt coding was a form of creative expression plus it comes easy to me).

Initially out of high school I had been rejected by Emerson College, so I decided to commute to a local state college to complete my Gen Eds and explore other potential interests for 2 years. I had never really cared much about my academics in high school, but after a bad first semester at college, I had some sort of epiphany and decided to start working really hard in school (the fact that all my friends had gone away and left me all alone probably helped too lol).

My original plan was to reapply to Emerson after 2 years, but after having now discovered a passion for stronger academics, I'm looking at schools with not only good film programs, but excellent undergraduate academics overall (financial aid is also a factor as well).

So, with the backstory out of the way, here are the schools I am considering applying to, in order of preference:
1) Wesleyan University
2) Boston University
3) Binghamton University
4) Oberlin College
5) Emerson College

Here are my stats:

High School Stats

I realize that my high school stats and SAT scores are not the strongest, but I am hoping that my more-recently-realized drive to succeed academically will show admissions counselors that I am a different kind of student now. Also, I've heard that for transfers high school stats aren't weighed as heavily as they are for freshman applicants.

The 4 Questions:
1) What are my chances for each of the 5 schools mentioned above? (reaches vs. matches)
2) Should I consider taking the SATs again? Or is it not worth it/too late for that?
3) Are there other schools I should consider applying to?
4) Is there more I could do?
