I want to transfer into Ohio State. I am intending to major in accounting, so I need to get accepted at their business school eventually also. I will be graduating with my associates of science in December from a CC in ohio (NOT columbus state CC). That means I want to start in January. Right now my GPA is a 3.5, although it may go up to a 3.6 after the fall semester. They won’t be able to see that on the application anyway. So what are my changes in getting accepted? Thanks!

Although your GPA is great for getting into Ohio State, GPA isn’t everything…are you involved in any activities / jobs?

I have a job, but it isn’t related to my CC at all. That’s is pretty much it. I didn’t plan on doing any activities until I got into a 4 year uni.

Doesn’t matter if it’s with your school…having a job shows that you are able to balance school work with other things such as a part-time job.

I think you should be fine; while Ohio State is getting difficult to get accepted into, transfer students are almost always accepted…I know people who were much less qualified than you who did get in…Don’t worry!
