Chances of transferring to UChicago Columbia Upenn

<p>I'm a rising junior of cornell, just starting my application of Uchicago Columbia Upenn, </p>

<p>Math + Econ major</p>

<p>Stat:
GPA: 3.93 Major:3.99 all kinds of 300- 400- level classes
SAT1: 2350 SAT2: math2 800 physics 770 chemistry 780
ACT: 30 english 36 math 32 reading 36 science 34 composite
15APs all 5's, except 3 in ap lang and 4 in ap lit
High school GPA: 3.98 ranks:2/967</p>

<p>college award:
honor program of cornell
Deans list for 3 semesters</p>

<p>EC:
5 different researches
VP of two organizations
community services
internship and community services during summer
debate team
piano playing for 14 years</p>

<p>High school rewards:
multiply national and regional mathematics rewards</p>

<p>high EC:
founder of debate team
founder of math community
local billiard's champion back in hometown</p>

<p>1 great recommendation letter from research prof, and 1 from a chem prof</p>

<p>also, i to want show this schools that im serious so i take 26 credits this semster for class rigor. im confident keeping gpa. (got 4.08 last semester with 22 credits) cornell counts A+ as 4.3</p>

<p>Do you guys think I get a chance to go to these schools?
Should I apply for any other schools bf march 15?</p>

<p>You look like you’re in good shape, just write a convincing essay.</p>

<p>Even though you’re a competitive candidate, with transfer rates below 10%, UChicago and C are impossible to predict, and Penn is only slightly higher at 15%. Whether you should apply to other schools depends on whether or not you’re ok with staying at Cornell if you don’t get into one of these three and if there are any other schools with higher transfer rates that interest you.</p>

<p>@entomom Thank you very much! For those schools, UC is my dream. Is it so hard to get into UC these years? as I heard they kinda accept a good number of transfers each year?</p>

<p>p.s. I don’t believe in dream schools. I’m a firm believer that a robust, adaptive person can make many colleges work for them.</p>
