Do you guys think I get a chance to go to these schools?
Should I apply for any other schools bf march 15?

Haha good luck. Though like milanista said I think going to those three for grad school sounds better. The programs dont really differ too much at undergrad level :(

one reason is I found the course curriculum here a little bit easy. and also research here bums me out. and i figure transferring is a good experience too. BTW, do you think it will be hard to get into these schools? Thanks

I think you have good chances at the schools you are considering, especially UPenn. However, by “good chances,” I mean better chances than a large majority of people; I don’t mean that admission to any of these schools is likely.

@transfers2010 Thank you very much! For those schools, UC is my dream. Is it so hard to get into UC these years? as I heard they kinda accept a good number of transfers each year?

^97/675 were accepted last year according to collegeboard. Pretty good chances, especially considering you’re coming from a top 30. However, admissions are never a guarantee so don’t bank on it ;)

I believe @transfers2010 said it best. Yes. Your stats are very good. Well above the average applicant but also with admission rates in the single digits it will be very difficult.

In addition, you’re asking a question none of us are qualified to answer. Therefore, your question is really baseless. Chances are you are going to apply anyways regardless of what we say.

I apologize if this came across as brash but these type of questions asking to chance serve no purpose. You’re asking unqualified posters to reassure your lack of confidence? Come on man. Just apply. Write some appealing essays and wait to find out. Best of luck.

I say you have a good chance for UPenn and UChicago. I think Columbia’s a bit of a reach. I think you should at least apply to one more school that you have a good chance at. But if you don’t see yourself leaving UVA for any other school then just stick to these. Good luck!!

Damn, dude. I’d say you have as good of a chance as is humanly possible – the only question is how good of a chance that is. 50%? I’d be surprised if you didn’t get into at least one of the schools.

@MitchAPalooza the reason is I want to have a clear understanding of my position so that I can decide if I still need to apply for other schools before March 15. But your argument is reasonable too.
