Chances of transferring to University of Virginia (UVA)?

Hello,
I'm currently a high school senior going to a community college in new york next year. After I get my Associates degree in paralegal studies, I'm hoping that I will be able to transfer to UVA's McIntire School of Commerce to study Accounting. What are my chances?

HS GPA: 89%
SATs: are a little below 1700. Should I retake them before transferring? Can I even retake them after high school?
2 APs: Literature and Environmental Science
4 College courses while at high school.

Will I be able to transfer to UVA if I have a college GPA of at least 3.5?
I will also be in the CC Honors program.
I will also be taking all their required course work that they suggest should be completed before transferring.

What are the max amount of credits that I can transfer to UVA?

On the UVA website it says that "transfer students to the [McIntire] School of Commerce are accepted only for August admission." What does that mean exactly? I start my classes in August if i transfer there?..or is that just Fall admission?

Thanks in advance!!!

There are a few problems with speculations

1) You don’t know your gpa just yet
2) Schools tend to get more or less competitive by the year. What could get you in this year might not in two years, just like what might get you in two years from now might not get you in today.

That’s kind generic response, and probably not what you’re looking for. But I hope you’re successful, you seem to have a pretty solid idea of what you want to do.

Thank you powpowman. But if I were transferring now and had at least a 3.5 gpa, what are my chances of getting in?

There is an official UVA transfer thread. If I were you I would check that out to see what competitive applicants look like

Your SAT scores are on the low end. I suggest retaking them.

They require SAT scores but I wonder if they’ll really pay attention to them. And thanks…so I guess I’ll need at least a 4.0 college GPA in order to get a real chance at UVA.
