Hi, Im just wondering what my chances of being admitted to UVA are. Heres a short list of where I am right now:

Engineering major
2-year degree from NVCC - 3.9 gpa
Bad high school transcript - 2.4 gpa
No SAT score (yet)
Attending UMD or GMU in the spring
Looking to transfer to UVA for fall 2011

I know my resume is short/bad, but would I have a chance of getting in if I took the SAT in jan and scored 2000+ ?

and how about VT, what are my chances of getting in there with no SAT?

Hey everyone…I am just trying to figure out my chances of being accepted to UVA for next year–fall, 2011 (application deadline March 1, 2011).

I am a California resident and currently a sophomore attending Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, so I would be transferring as a junior. I am a communications major and english minor (switched from business after 1st semester freshman year), and have a 3.8 cumulative GPA. I ran (division 1) cross country and track and field my freshman year, yet had to stop running due to a re-ocurring/major hip injury & surgery. I am currently a “student athlete mentor,” which involves teaching a class (involving study skills, ethics, etc), for the freshman athletes, as well as helping and coordinating various charity events. I consider myself a good writer, so I plan on being able to write a pretty strong essay for the application. Thanks for the help, time, and input!
