<p>Hi, everyone. I am currently in the process of applying to Tulane under Early Action. I just wanted to see what others thought of my chances of being admitted. I am also applying to Rice under Early Decision and Emory and UT Austin.</p>
<p>I am a white male at a public, urban high school (3,000+ students) in Houston. </p>

APs: 5 USH, 4 Calc AB, 4 Eng Lang; taking Calc BC, US Gov, Microecon, Physics B, and Eng Lit this year</p>
<p>Note: I plan to take the SAT again in November.</p>
<p>I have volunteered over 300 hours at a local nature park, working primarily as a horticultural aide but also at public events highlighting nature and history. I have received the Bronze and Silver Presidential Volunteer Service Awards for these efforts.</p>
<p>I have been treasurer, section leader, and drum major in my school's band. </p>
<p>I have participated in National History Day for 6 years and advanced to the national contest twice. I received the Outstanding State Entry Award for Texas in 2011 and 3rd Place in the Individual Documentary Category in 2012.</p>
<p>I am vice president of my school's chapter of the National Honor Society.</p>
<p>I am a member of my school's "Dream Team." We work to help promote a college-going culture at school and advise other students on the college application/admission process.</p>
<p>I have won various foreign language contests for French and advanced to various musical contests in Texas.</p>
