Chances of UCI,SD,LA,B, and Northwestern

Asian
GPA: 3.46 (UW) 3.89(W)

AP Calc BC:5
AP Bio: 5
AP Chem: 5</p>

<p>EC: Martial artist for over 5 years, studied Shaolin Kung Fu, Karate, and a few others.</p>

<p>As a senior, what’s worrying me is my 1st semester grades.
Im probably going to end up with straight B’s, and a C in regular english.
I have 2 AP’s and 1 H class as well…</p>

<li>How badly will that C affect my chances at getting into college?</li>
<li>Do UC colleges ask for Midyear reports or anything like that?</li>

<p>UCB: Slight Reach
UCLA: Slight Reach
UCSD: Slight Reach (Bioengineering)
UCI: Safe Match
Northwestern: Slight Reach</p>

<li>Not very much. UCs don't look at your senior grades until you're already accepted, at which point a single C won't make any difference in your acceptance. Don't know about Northwestern, though.</li>
<li>No, UCs don't ask for your mid-year reports. Just your final report once you're already accepted and sent your intent to register.</li>

<p>DOOD REALX!!! dis is what i tihnk(of course IF u are CAli resident)
UCB: slight reach(relax..der is no way of tellign abotu this school)
UCLA: i say match and SLIGHT SLIGHT reach..if u show improvement in ur grades u are almost guarenteed
UCSD: I would say match for this one becuz just to tell u..ur SAT II's are like HOLY CRAP!!!!! (Bioengineering)
UCI: u r in fosho
Northwestern: Slight Reach...dis is school is pretty hard to get into..</p>

<p>YO..about my predictions..i was just saying if you write a good essay. UC's do look at your essay. DOnt beleive dos other ppl who says dey only skim it.</p>

<p>If an applicant were out of state I would generally bump each university up one level.</p>
