For UMich, are you applying for LSA or CoE? I would say match to high match for LSA and high match to low reach for engineering.

UNC-CH: Match
UMich: High Match

Not even close to a Match for Michigan. I was rejected OOS (like yourself) with a 4.0, 35 ACT, etc. I will be at Harvard next year. UNC is a match because you are In State.

UMI: High match
UNC: Match

UNC is a match, they love instaters, but for Michigan, you should really retake the SAT’s for a 2100+ [Won’t be too hard, your math score can easily go up]. Also, is the 3.7 weighted or unweighted.

For UMich GPA calculation, drop the freshman year and discard subgrades in a 4.0 scale. The average for LSA is around 3.65, around 3.75 for CoE. I guess with 660 in Math, you are probably looking at LSA.

Average LSA last year was 3.83 unweighred, and will only increase as the years go on. 3.70 unweighted is below average and 3.7 weighted is well below average. Also, UMich does count freshman year, so I don’t know why you’re telling OP to discard those grades. U-M has stopped recalculating GPA and now just uses what is on the transcript. SAT score is average. UNC is a match due to in-state and UMich is a low match because of being out of state.

OP would have been a high match for UMich 2-3 years ago, but admissions is getting very competitive very fast.
