Chances of USC transfer/boosting GPA over summer

I justed graduated from a community college in California. I have spoken with the USC admissions office, emailed a counselor at USC, and been through all relevant posts here on college confidential. This is my situation and I’d really appreciate it if you could tell my chances of getting admitted…

I just graduated with my associate’s degree in business admin, econ, and Spanish with a GPA of 3.68.
My extracurriculars include president of the student government, student representative on the college’s budget committee, student host of my college’s podcast alongside the director of my college’s foundation, overseeing my college’s marketing campaign alongside the school’s director of marketing, and I am the founder of a mentorship program for the Spanish speaking students which is a a part of DEI now.

I will have a letter of recommendation from the director of marketing, director of the college foundation, and the student government advisor. I have worked with all three closely.

The video marketing campaign is really important for raising our dismally low enrollment numbers due to the pandemic. If I do a good job, the student government advisor and the director of marketing will vouch for the President of the college to give me a LOR for my contributions to the college.

There will be a one year gap between my community college graduation and transferring to a four year university. I plan on doing a business related internship and volunteer work this fall, traveling abroad next spring, and hopefully transferring into USC Marshall (Real Estate Finance or Marketing) in Fall 2022. I will apply as soon as the app is open.

I’m a Hispanic male (if this is relevant in any way)

I would likely get a lot of need based aid if I were admitted. I feel that USC would give me access to many opportunities…

My questions are…

  1. should I take 2 summer courses at my CC to get my GPA up to a 3.7 from a 3.68? 3.7 is the average GPA for transfers. Or is it not worth the effort and time that I could be placing elsewhere?
  2. how does my plan sound for volunteer work, interning and traveling abroad? Will these be appealing to the person reviewing my app?
  3. what would you say my chances of getting in are?

Thank you guys. It’s been a crazy journey for me. I appreciate any responses.
