Currently go to a cc and have improved my gpa from high school 2.98 to 3.53 in college. I applied to USC, UCSD, UCLA, UCI, UCB all the common asian uc's. Would like to know the average gpa for usc? and my chances with the other uc's. My major is business admin at usc and econ for the UC's.
Thank You and any replies would be helpful.

hey bro(or sis) my gpa is 3.48 my major is polyci. i applied to usc and all the UC's. my number 1 choice is USC.

I know the avg gpa accepted was a 3.56 last yr and it is expected to be around a 3.6 this yr.

I am applying to usc with a 3.21 :/ (awful first semester) as neuroscience, but i am still hopeful. I think they can overlook one semester of less than stellar performance and i also have reasons why its kinda low.

anyways, do any of you know when we can expect a mid yr grades request?

for USC, was there an option to apply for the PRE-business major instead of business admin at marshall?
I know marshall is more competitive so I have heard of people transferring in as prebusiness majors
if not, will they automatically consider you as a pre-business major if you are not marshall material yet?

man i want to go to USC sooooooooooo bad!!!! its killin me

You too! man i've literally been a trojan since Jr. High and I have two cousins that already graduated from there. If I don't get in and get into uci i'm seriously thinking of just reapplying next year. I don't know live or die as a trojan.

has anyone heard anything from SC since Feb 1st?

The only time I heard from them was when they notified me that they had received my transcripts. . other than that. . nope.

I'm thinking transfers won't find out until after may 1st which is when admitted freshmen notify them that they will enroll. im not expecting to hear from them until late may-early june.

ill nervously wait with my 3.3 gpa. . . do you guys think there is a possibility for me to get accepted with a 3.3?

3.56 gpa and applied for Global Bus.

I think if you have a 3.3, you still have a decent shot. If the average accepted applicant has a 3.56, and we know many people > 3.56 are applying, then we can also assume that people <3.56 are also applying and getting in also.

It all depends on your situation:
1- Difficulty of classes and major. Honors?
2- Reasonable extenuating circumstances
3- ECs, work experience, internships, etc.
4- Quality of your app; essay, recs, additional supplementary info.
5- HS record and SAT if you are applying as a soph.

As for me, i think i have a good shot despite my GPA. I have also talked to the asst director of admissions mono y mono and I showed him my stats and he said I would have no problem getting in, but granted I told him i would get a 3.7 when he was evaluating, so i dont know where my chances lie now since i have a 3.21. But i believe if you are applying as a soph., college performance trends are much harder to predict after one semester of coursework, and therefore they are more leniant on a lower GPA for a soph. applicant, especially if you have a good HS record and SAT.
