<p>if you are coming in as a freshman, I would advise you to get your GPA up. Even though you do have computer programming experience, for incoming freshman they base it on potential rather than experience. Typically, directly admitted freshman have a GPA of 3.8 and an SAT of 1200-1300 (M + V). If possible, have your son take physics in high school as well high level math.</p>
<p>The extracurriculars look good, but I'd suggest that he get his GPA and test scores up a bit to have a good chance at getting into UW, and up some more for a direct admission to the CSE program.</p>
