waitlist/reject imo.

The research could be a draw depending on how well you defined it in your application and how impressive it was (is it published?). Are your SAT stats within the range of accepted applicants? If so, you probably have a chance. Good luck to you.

I'm not sure if being Filipino will help you. But I got in with an early write and I have 1800 SAT

Are you URM??

borderline waitlist and admittance?

Please don't feel discouraged! Life's MUCH too short to be worried!!

Just to make you feel better, here are my stats and I also applied to Emory--

SAT: 1970
ACT: 28
GPA: 3.9
Rank: no ranking system, but top 5%
AP scores: low to mediocre (contracted mono for 6 weeks junior year during AP tests and grades/test scores suffered DRASTICALLY)

Recs: pretty good
Essay: not too good, just decent
EC: LOTS and lots... had to fill up for poor test scores
Race: NOT CONSIDERED URM (bah!!)
Gender: F

I'm probably going to get waitlisted or rejected, though, because I got waitlisted to Vanderbilt this week. Emory is one of my top choice schools along with Northwestern so it's going to be discouraging when I get my letters, but I'm still crossing my fingers.

After looking at your stats, you've gotten a lot of recognition so that's definitely a plus and you'll more than likely be accepted!!

But results are going to be posted on the site (or so I've been told) in a few hours, so best wishes!! :)
