So i would love to know my chances at:
UCLA
USC
UCB
UCSD
UCSB
Johns Hopkins
Brown
Yale

any recommendations to improve my chances?

oh white middle class caucasian if it makes a difference

Yale and Brown I would take off that list. Your SAT score is about 200 points too low to even consider them. Even with 2300+ those schools are hard to get into, and being white won't help your chances. Johns Hopkins too would be quite difficult. And from that list, it sounds like you're looking mostly in-state. Johns Hopkins is a long way to go when so many great schools are in California. I'm not sure it would be worth the $45k+ instead of going to a UC.

Also definitely retake that bio score. People not having taken AP Bio frequently score higher; after taking the AP course you should definitely be able to crack 700 if you put your mind to it.

I'm not from California so I know little about the UCs in-state, can't really help you with those ones.

Your sophomore and junior year grades are the most important criteria for the UCs. Given your data, all the UCs are matches except UCB and UCLA, and maybe UCSD. I think those three are achievable if you get ELC status (eligible in the local context). You will find this out in the fall of your senior year. If you do not get ELC, then your chances at Berkeley and San Diego are not good, and chances at UCLA are very poor.
Your SAT 2 scores are not very impressive. Doing better will certainly help your chances.
Forget about the elite privates. They place much more emphasis on SATs than the UCs. Frankly, your scores wouldn't get you anywhere near a waiting list, let alone admission.

what is ELC? I heard about it but I don't really understand how they would select those kids. Something about being the top 4% of their school? So you would take their rank and divide by the total number of students of their class?

Well I don't know what your UC gpa is bc I don't know how college courses are put in, and if design is considered a fine arts course.....but I'm sure you don't have a 4.33 bc their is an 8 semester cap. But below are the average stats of the UC's you listed.

Fall 2006
UCB = 4.17 gpa, 2007 sat
UCLA = 4.12 gpa, 2003 sat
UCSD = 4.04 gpa, 1928 sat
UCSB = 3.90 gpa, 1842 sat

I say you're in at UCSB, UCSD, and either UCLA or UCB, but not both.

Sorry, but I honestly don't know and I don't want to give you wrong information. It is just my opinion that you will get into one of them, but you never know and you may get into both or neither of them. But if I were you I would take my chances and apply to both and hopefully it will all turn out for the best.

It won't matter if you apply to both UCLA or Berkeley. They don't care where else you apply in the UC system. They make their admission choices independently of one another. It would be foolish not to apply to any UC if you are willing to go to that campus.
