what do u guys think about my chances? Any more opinions? ANy specific contests or EC's that you think mite interest me and that mite giv emore depth to my application?

i think you're getting way too stressed so early in the game

I'm sorry! It's just that getting into MIT is extremely hard, and I really want to go but so do thousands of others, so I want to get a head start. I need other experienced people's opinions.

Wow... 45 replies. What more do you want? You aren't even asking any questions or anything... want me to stroke your ego? It's $10 an hour, so pay up.

actually more than half the 45 replies were probably like bumps and replies that didn't help any

You want to know something?

You'd give yourself a much better chance of getting into MIT if you spend your time writing and perfecting your essays instead of bumping for millions of posts telling you that you have a decent shot at MIT. Remember, admission officers look at your essays, not the responses on your CC chance thread.

Just continue working hard and you'll do fine. No one can accurately predict now which schools will reject/accept you.

Thank you for the responses!

wow this went all the way to like the 4th page. I do have a question actually. If my rank ended up being like 36/1000 for 9th-10th grade with an unweighted GPA of 3.98 and a weighted GPA of 4.25 (my school is insanely competitive), but then I went to TAMS where there isn't ranking, what would you rank my chances as then? Would rank matter too much since there isn't ranking at my school that I will be going to for the 11th-12th grades?

this is the longest chance thread ever. give it a break kid.

haha... i know i would still like ppl to chance me if they want

oops it won't lemme edit.

haha... i know, but i would still like ppl to chance me if they can

You're a rising junior. Although so far your stats look favorable for the schools in which you are interested, I feel that your junior year classes and grades, along with official standardized test results, are necessary for an accurate assessment of your chances.

So stop bumping up your thread, pleading for chances that are, at the time, very vague, and instead enjoy the rest of your summer.
