Chances Please

I am a senior in high school and have been hoping to attend NU for quite some time now. Please tell me my chances

I have a 2.8 GPA but expect it to rise to at least a 3.2 by the end of senior year. I have not yet taken the SAT’s but expect to get at least an 1800 based on my PSAT’s. I am also scheduled to take the ACT’s. I did a lot of volunteer work in middle school and some in high school, but not as much due to the fact that I’ve been working since sophomore year. I currently work 2 jobs. I’m apart of one club & hope to major in Communications. I know that I can do well at NU if I apply myself. I have the potential to succeed, it just took me a while to realize it.

All advice/ comments welcome. I do realize that my stats aren’t exactly the average NU student but hey, a girl can dream

It’s a reach. The average GPA for admittance was a 3.8-4.3; SAT ranged from 2020-2200.

The only grades that matter this year are first term and those will not raise your GPA enough. How have you not taken the SATs yet? Focus on that, and your essays. NEU is a high reach for you- find a school that you like that is a better match.

If you’ve got your heart set on NEU, you can still end up here. Spend your freshman year working really hard at another university and transfer in-Northeastern’s very transfer friendly
