-Scholarship to leadership camp this summer (I went)
-Writing’s my strong suit; essay good – good recs, too (both of these are so subjective though, so whatever)
-Magna cum laude on National Latin Exam
-Work 20 hr/wk</p>
<p>Alabee, I would say you have a great chance of getting in. Just make sure your essay really creates a sense of match between you and Bates.</p>
<p>Rigor, regarding interviewing, Bates is a school that places a great deal of value on the interview, but you can of course be accepted without it. </p>
<p>Our daughter did get in without the interview, but we did visit several times. When we tried to schedule an interview, the schedule was full, and her work obligations on week-end precluded her returning.<br>
We did make sure Bates understood we would have liked to interview, but couldn't come back, and asked to have her file noted to that effect.</p>
