Could someone highlight my chances for these colleges...especially for Bates...Leadership is my strongest point and I have tried to focus on that throughout my app....even my personal essay..

my daughter just go into bates!. your scores should definitely be submitted , yur grades are fine, but try to arrange your ec's toshow that u have stuck with something all 4 years and risen to positons f leadership within that particular thing. colleges don't want to see a long list of many different activities, but a few that u have maintained all 4 years ad risen within those ranks to a positon of leadership. i guess i am saying focused leadership! also being male and from Nepal is a plus!

Regarding the scores, I would have definitely submitted them but some of my friends who are also doing Bates from Nepal have better SAT 1 scores, as for SAT 2 ...yes I will submit them...and yes I have focused my application to prove my interest and potential in leadership...fingers crossed now...and congrats to you and your daughter...I hope I can meet her this fall...(although it's still far away from me)

shail your stats are great yah SAT's are impressive. I think you'd be admitted

I had applied to bates for spring admission (very few seats were available, it had already stipulated in its website, though I turned myself foolish). And sadly I got differed. But I've not sent any letter to Bates or any other materials thenafter. Depressingly, I could not attend an interview in Nepal (It mentions --"you would be putting yourself at disadvantage if you do not attend an interview"). So, I think that I would be rejected from RD. What do you think about my chances?

I am not submitting SATs; Toefl well above min req; A-levels in Phy, Chem, Computing, Maths; Female; Some 10 ECs with leaderships and few extra awards.

Interview!!!!!!....is it really that important??...i mean do they have a representative here in Nepal?...and btw what were your grades Rigor_col?

yeh the interview, I was sent a query whether I would want to attend one, but I could not attend though. Yet I've my finger crossed. They have an alumnus here in Nepal dunno where!!!! in regards to your question, I would rather not post this time okay, I'm really sorry, my grades r probably above avg. anyway.
