Chances Please!

I told myself that I wouldn't do this, but alas, here I am. Could you guys tell me what you think? Thanks.

GPA - 3.78 unweighted 4.16 weighted
Rank - 17/339 (as of the end of junior year)
Classes - English Lit, Physics, Calc BC, Italian, US Gov and Politics (all AP)
Extra Curriculars - swim team (frosh-junior), REBEL (anti-smoking club, junior-senior), Italian Club (frosh-senior), Italian Honor Society (junior-senior), concert band (frosh-junior, had to quit since it didn't fit into my senior schedule), concert choir (same as band), Akiba Academy Hebrew High School (frosh-junior), Kean College/University (?) Jewish History course (senior), United Synagogue Youth (frosh-senior)
SAT - 740CR 750M 620W (2110)
SAT 2 - 720 Math (1&2), going to take physics and expect around 650 (my school didn't teach us some of the stuff kinda sux)
Leadership - USY chapter Vice President of Social Action (junior-senior, last year i raised $1400 and i organized stuff like shoe drives, and gift wrapping for $ at Lord and Taylor), USY NJ region Social Action Commitee (senior, I collect money and help plan stuff like everyone writing letters to israeli soldiers or running a carnival)
Honors - Italian Honor Society (I know I said that already), National High School Scholars (don't remember exact name), Nation Merit Comended Student
Random that doesn't fit anywhere else - I went on a Jewish leadership seminar where I did a lot of work with the homeless in DC and then lobbied with my senator. I've taken CAD (a computer program that engineers use, I don't know if you guys know what that is) 3 years of HS and I would have taken it 4 but it conflicted with my calc class like band and chorus. I traveled cross country 2 summers ago. I was in Poland for a week this summer at the concentration camps, then I went to israel for 5 weeks during the war (that's what my common app essay's on and overcoming fear because of it). I did a lot of volunteer work in israel because of the war, I picked onions for people who can't afford food and I helped through a carnival at one of the refugee camps. I'm also a girl applying to the college of engineering (don't know how much of a difference that makes). I also genuinely love being Jewish and love community service (also don't know what kind of difference that makes).
Bad stuff - I didn't get excepted into my school's nhs. My grades for first marking period senior year were 3 Bs and 2 As compared to my usual 3 As and 2 Bs, but I did work much harder than I did in years past because my classes are much harder cuz they're AP instead of my previous honors classes (that's just the way my school works it was the most rigorous schedule). My probable bad physics SAT2. I also don't want to come off as too Jewish which is what may happen...

p.s. I'm applying RD.
p.p.s. Thanks so much to anyone who answers.

oops i forgot 2 things:
work - receptionist (5 hours per week only junior year since it conflicted with one of my ecs), lifeguard (4 hours a week, junior and senior)
more ecs - science leage and math leage (nothing special about them that's y i forgot them)
sorry for the long post.

hey- i think u hab a fair chance...

but always, i don't know what the adcoms are actually looking for in an applicant..

Make sure you hab a deep passion for one and try to really show that in your application....

Best of luck to you!

thanks a bunch for the advice. I hope to play up my trip to Israel and my passion for my youth group and helping people (which is honest to goodness genuine).

your ECs scare me. From the past ED decision thread I ve seen many people who made it in with awsome ECs and essays but a slightly lower than average SATs. And your SATs and GPA seem just fine to me. So I will say a pretty good chance for you, 75% if i were to quantify it.

thanks again guys for taking the time to read my post... just for the record I didn't want to sound like I was bragging or anything, or that I superficially think I'm going to get in because you guys said I had a chance (which is why I didn't want to post in the beginning). I just thought it would be interesting so see what other people think. Oh and to Mak5im, don't be scared by my ecs they're not that special, I'm mostly just active in USY. It probably just looks like more because I'm super wordy (notice how I want to be an engineer not a writer). Also, I feel kind of dumb because I realized I have major typos in my past posts... sorry about them. Anyway... thanks again again.
