cons: white/asian female from NJ

and i just sent in my app!
my supp essay was mediocre (did anyone else find that topic rather difficult? or is it just cuz im from NJ and no one likes NJ except for the ppl who live here? honestly, i was like "i live in america an i am american") and my commonapp was pretty good.
i know one rec was excellent, and im guessing hte other two were good.

and that's about all i can say short of giving you my ssn. please give input. i love middlebury. if i could have, i would have applied ED (actually, i was plannig to, I even submitted my Pre-App in october saying I would).

anway... yeah. that's all.

I never answer chances threads (frankly I have no idea what admissions officers want and coming from me, my answer would not be accurate anyway...) but I'll say that I had a very difficult time with the supp essay as well. I felt bad that I didn't write much about my hometown (a small townin the suburbs of DC) but instead wrote about DC. Just wanted to reassure you that I thought it was really hard too! Good luck.

I so totally agree...ahh!!! I mean, how am I supposed to influence the world?..
sniff sniff

I can't chance either, but I'll add that my essay was pretty poor; I mean, I wrote it a couple days before the deadline. :) Good luck! Your essay is probably better than you think it is.

haha i finished it the day OF the deadline. i had to into the city to mail it. but i only put it off for so long because i couldn't come up with a strong point/topic. my catch in the beginning is pretty good, but the rest sucks. i honestly said that i was "american" as an identity. well, me and 95% of the other applcants! oi vey...

but i kind of enjoyed writing because a lot of it were about my grandmothers and i <3 them.

i didn't even get to teh "change the world part" the closest i got to that was "next summer i hope to teach english in china"

lalalalaaaaaaaaaa reggaeton! (sry that was random, i just had a bit too much candy and i haven't run yet)

i really hope admissions officers don't stalk this site or figure out who we are. that would be embarassing.
