terrible as in not 800? Cuz a lot of kids here at CC think 790 is bad.......***?
Btw, no college will see what other colleges you've applied to. The common app has clarified that for me.

Nope terrible as in subject tests being in low 600s

I think your scores writing/reading scores are a bit low, considering that you won a poetry award.

I was never too good at standardized tests, and I don't think cornell will take that much into account.

Frankly, I just wouldn't get so hung up on the numbers and I think while you might find it interesting (maybe) to review the decisions threads for a prior year, I think what you'll find is that there are kids who look absolutely terrific who were rejected and kids who look less terrific who were accepted. I don't know that you can really guesstimate your chances by looking at any of this--plus you are only seeing the tip of the iceberg of applicants anyway. When admissions reps read these applications, they are trying to figure out who the applicant is behind the gpa, the test scores etc., how they will fit at Cornell and whether they will take advantage of all that Cornell has to offer. I think CAS places a lot of weight on the essays--we were told they want to see strong writing skills and that they didn't place that much weight on the test scores.

if its not too late for you to take the ACT, id suggest doing that. i had the same SAT score as you, but a 34 on the ACT.
