Lastly,if anyone has any additional advice, please let me know. Thanks so much!!

You sound like a solid applicant. Colgate is first and foremost an academic institution, so the readers will be looking to see if you challenged yourself academically and succeeded in taking a rigorous course load (I see you're an NHS member). Because Colgate's application process is so holistic, your teacher recommendations and essays are also incredibly important. The Dean of Admission has said, "we want students who will be sorely missed in their high schools" and I think this is a great way to see if you're a good applicant.

Best of luck!

Blonde2435-- I too think you are a solid applicant and should apply. If you really love Colgate, make it known and you have a good chance.

However, I would be remiss if I did not tell you that my D2 had almost the same stats as you (however CR and M were reversed-but the same #'s, top 10% of class, similar gpa, etc), but did not apply to Colgate, even though her Bro is a current student.

This is because her Sis, my D1, applied to Colgate, again w/ a Bro as a current student, w/ a much higher SAT than you or my D2, (over 2100/2400 or 1400+/1600-cannot remember exact #'s), higher gpa, higher rank (top 5%) and great EC's. (She not only was a member of Debate Team but founded it at her hs and went to National's, etc).

She was Waitlisted at Colgate. I don't know why. She now attends Cornell. Her Sis, D2 attends Bucknell ( no sibling but legacy).

All 3 of my kids love their school. My S has had wonderful experiences at Colgate, so go for it.l
