Chances RD

I'm in-state, and we do pretty well with getting students into UNCCH from our school, we had at least two big idiots get in, so I'm pretty confident. But I could always use some more...

I would say that since you're from rural North Carolina your chances are quite high. I've got similar stats, a bit higher on the SAT, but I'm unfortunately at a geographic disadvantage in the Triangle. Still hoping for the best, though.

Just out of curiosity, how'd you score for your PSAT?

good GPA, good test scores, good course load, and being from NC is gonna help. 12 years of baseball is good, but they only really care about what you've done in high school, but if you can somehow fit it in there then mention it. From what I've read when I was in high school, UNC admissions has some knowledge of the kind of community and school you are from. So if you are from a small community with little to offer, then UNC will know about it and won't count that against you. I think overall you have a good chance. Good luck

you. are. in.!!!!!

I got a 197 on my PSAT...But my school is retarded and they only go by math and verbal (138). Another girl (sal, soon to be val) got a 199 but only 134 for math and verbal. But I'm still gonna put that.lol

of course you're going to get in. UNC is terribly easy to get into from in-state... everyone at our school uses it as a safety

hey UNC is not "terribly easy to get into from in-state," there's a lot of in staters that don't get in, now UNC is easier to get in if ur in-state compared to out of state, but don't go posting that UNC is "terribly easy to get into." NCSU is the most common school, in my opinion, that in-staters use as a safety school. So if you don't mind, please don't insult my school's admission department.
