<p>I'm an Asian female at a public school in Virginia. It's not a huge city; not that many people have even heard of it. Few-and really, really, few-get into Ivy League/other top-ranking schools (I don't think anybody got in last year or the year before...) I know region matters, but does me being Asian counter the fact that I'm from East Coast? CA has a huge Asian population, so does that lower my chances of getting in to Stanford?</p>
