<p>Hey guys, I'm going to be applying in about a week or less, and was just wondering what you all thought about my chances for MERIT aid - not financial.</p>

SAT: 1370/1600, 2070/2400
Two APs, Three recommendation letters, lots of community service and ec's.</p>
<p>And also how long does it generally take to get an answer after they've gotten everything? </p>

<p>Hey Laura, you didn’t post your GPA but I’m going to assume it’s pretty solid based on the rest of your resume here. You definitely will receive UCF’s Pegasus Gold scholarship which is $10,000 spread out over 4 years (assuming you’re an in-state student). In other words, $2,500 a year, $1,250 a semester. They are also pretty generous to National Merit students although I don’t know exactly how far you had to have gone to get that from them (Commended versus recipient versus semi-finalist, etc.) but if you cal the school directly they may give you that information. </p>
<p>To answer your second question, it depends when you apply. I don’t know if they’ve already started responding to admissions, but once they do it’s usually about a 3 week wait for them to respond to you. It can be faster/slower based on how many people are applying at that moment and how strong of a candidate you are. I don’t think it should be too busy right now and you clearly are a strong candidate so you should get in no problem. Hope this all helped!</p>
<p>I heard that they start responding October 1st…but my GPA is 3.9 unweighted, sorry I forgot to post that. How much is the Pegasus Gold for OOS?</p>
