Chances/Should I even bother applying?

<p>Deterring Factors?:
-D+ in AP English Jr year, retook the class during summer and got an A+

  • Got a D+ in chemistry this year so idk about Arizona standards on this one</p>

<p>Should I even bother applying? Do I even have a chance and what about the D in chem this year? Does it deter me completely?</p>

<p>You’re in the high school mentality where everything that goes wrong is the end of the world. My understanding with the admissions here is they take more of a forest-not-the-trees approach. GPA and SAT scores are king in this method (how else are you going to volume process a billion apps every year?). I might suggest retaking the ACT. Your score will probably go up quite a bit now that you know more of what to expect, but I’d still say you had a good chance of being accepted.</p>

<p>He’s totally in. Standardized tests are only looked at for scholly purposes.</p>

<p>The question is, is it worth it to pay tuition for the UA? If you’re OOS, I’d think twice.</p>
