Chances so far?

<p>Looking to get into cal poly for business admin…</p>

<p>GPA - 3.67 weighted thus far (im half way thru junior year)
Classes right now-
AP Computer Science
AP US History
Algebra 3/4 w/ Trig.
AP Biology
Honors English 5/6</p>

<p>next year im taking-
AP Statistics
AP English
and I am going to take the AP econ exam (but according to the SLO admissions officer, they do not take into account what you get on the AP exams in admission).</p>

<p>Taking SAT in a couple weeks…lets project say an 1800+
Taking ACT in April
Does cal poly weight the ACT heavier than SAT since they say they “prefer” it? Do you think those who take the ACT are given a higher advantage over those who just take the SAT?</p>

I have done work within my major
President/founder of club at school
Attended Youth Leadership Conference in Washington DC
National Honors Society
California Scholarship Federation
I can go on about EC’s but apparently they dont matter much in the app.</p>

<p>From these stats can anyone predict what my chances are? I’m really hoping I can get in, as Cal Poly is my first choice.</p>

<p>Busdiness Admin is pretty tough to get into. I think they average around a 3.9 weighted. Definiteley work on getting a 4.0 this semester and getting higher than an 1800 on the SAT (I believe cal poly still only looks at verbal and math, however).</p>

<p>Whats interesting though is that I heard it wasnt that difficult to get into the business school and people were getting in with around 3.6's.</p>

<p>Im kind of confused...I want to go into the marketing concentration. Will that effect my chances? It is all under Business Administration. What about economics? Is that any different?</p>
