Essays are great
One rec from my mentor at Cornell, another from the tennis coach/english teacher-extremely good

I'd say that UPenn, and Carnegie Mellon are a long shot. They're a long shot for anyone.

thanks
any input on the rest?

I'm assuming your math SAT II is Math II. I know that many engineering schools request or require Math II and Physics or Chemistry. If my memory serves, NU is one of them. CMU may be also. We didn't ever look at JHU, but they may also.

Other than the question of whether you need an SAT II in Physics or Chemistry, you look like a strong candidate to me at NU or CMU (which are the only two I'm really familiar with) and probably at the others as well.

edit Penn is probably a bit of a reach, but not outside the realm of possibility.

I actually think you might have a decent shot at CMU. They are trying to increase diversity (both with African Americans and females), so this might work to your advantage.

you should get into any school you apply to

I guarantee you every Jersey school you mentioned will accept you. And your chances outside of Jersey are tremendous as well.

thank you hasuchobe, are you from Jersey as well?

Yep. Parsippany NJ :P
Doing engineering at Purdue however. Food here sucks compared to Jersey.
