Chances to get into computer science?

<p>Hello,</p>

<p>I'm currently a Junior at the moment, just wondering what you all think my chances of being accepted somewhere like Purdue, U of I etc. for Computer Science.
GPA: Took a dip to 3.4 after this semester because I had 3 classes with 89% However I'm really expecting to finish with nearly all A's this semester.</p>

<p>E.C: Basketball 9,10,11,12
Football 9
Golf 10
FFA 9
Tech Club (Possibly, still working on starting it)</p>

<p>Advanced Cred Classes and AP:</p>

<p>Human Anatomy
Bio 2
Chem 2
Physics
Calculus</p>

<p>Computer Related Achievements:
Built working supercomputer cluster
Learning to code
Going to get multiple certifications: Microsoft, Novell, A+ etc.
Tech Club (Again, still awaiting principals approval)
Fixing computers at my school(s) since like the 3rd grade (Dad is the technology director)
Going to attend area college computer summer camps, Haven't decided which though.</p>

<p>ACT</p>

<p>I haven't took this yet. I know that makes it hard to judge. However, I should get upper 20's on everything and 30+ on math.</p>

<p>Jobs: School Summer Maintenance Crew (Tech knowledge played a role in hiring as all computers are removed from rooms during cleaning then need to hooked back up)</p>

<p>Anyways, I know I have limited info at the moment, but what I'm really looking for is to find out how much my computer related achievements will help me in getting in. </p>

<p>Your GPA is a little below average but if you can get at least a 31 on the ACT you may have a shot. </p>

<p>Your GPA is kind of low but your EC’s are pretty decent. Get good scores and you have a good shot</p>

<p>Hello all,</p>

<p>Just an update, got my ACT scores back;</p>

<p>Math: 34
Science: 25
English:25
Reading:19 (I had a major headache and paced myself terrible, I expect 25 and up)</p>

<p>Anyways, I will retake again.</p>

<p>Also at the moment I have a 4.0 GPA going. Should raise my GPA a boost.</p>

<p>And I found an AP Comp Sci class I am going to take.</p>
