Chances to Stanford

I’m currently a junior with a 4.0 unweighted 4.7 weighted GPA.
I’m taking 6 APs right now and 1 last year. AP World History: 5
Subject Tests: Math 2: 800, World History: 770, Chemistry: 770
SAT Reasoning: 2310

Extracurriculars:
-Violin 11 years
-Speech and Debate Grades 9-present, 1st in California and 5th in United States in point rankings, Current team captain
-Anchor on local TV Station Grades 10-present, executive producer of this TV station currently.
-Volunteering ~150 hours

I’m applying to either International Relations/Journalism/Political Science

I’d want to get some kind of idea of where I stand in comparison to other Stanford applicants, and whether I have a decent shot at getting in and if it’s worth applying. Thanks!

Also probably applying to:

UC Berkeley
UCLA
Brown
Duke
Harvard
Cornell

Also:

Current Year Schedule:
AP Calc AB
AP English
AP Euro
AP Spanish
AP Chemistry

What’s your demographic? Depending on that, you have anywhere from epsilon to 1-epsilon chance of getting in.

You are definitely qualified stats wise. It’s hard to predict Stanford though.

@kirito69 I go to a bay area public school in California, and I’m male caucasian

You are a very strong candidate, so you should for sure apply there if you want to go there. Reach for everyone though.

Thanks for all the replies! I was also wondering if speech and debate is “overused” in extracurriculars?

Your ECs are what they are. Some applicants have speech and debate experience and some don’t.
